As soon as we’ve processed your application form we’ll send your workbook to your preferred address (indicated on your application form).
If you’ve recently changed address, or changed your contact/employer/branch details, please tell us as soon as possible so we can make sure your materials are sent to the correct address.
Once your application has been processed and you’re enrolled on the programme you’ll receive an email from email@example.com, notifying you of your login and password details for the VLE.
Please wait until you receive this email and use the link provided, as this will give you access to the correct VLE. If you don’t receive an email, check your spam folder to see if the email has been directed here instead of your inbox.
If you still haven’t received the email, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
You can start work on your workbook as soon as you receive it.
You only have a limited time to complete it, so do make the most of the time available. You do not need access to the VLE to complete the workbook.
You have 90 days to complete each workbook. We’ll send you an email reminder approximately 6 weeks before the ‘return by’ date. The ‘return by’ date is clearly shown on the front of your workbook.
You must complete your written answers using a pen.
It is a requirement of the City & Guilds who accredit the course, that all written answers are made using a pen rather than a pencil. Completing the answers in pen means that a true record of your submitted work is recorded.
Please contact us on email@example.com so we can discuss this with you. We may be able to offer you up to a 2 week extension to the date depending on your circumstances.
You must return your workbook to us before the ‘return by’ date shown on the label on the front of your workbook. We recommend you use recorded delivery.
Your workbook will be marked and usually returned to you within 4 to 6 weeks.
Yes, it is very important that you answer all the questions within the Consolidation and Project sections of the workbook.
If you overlook answering any questions within the workbook, your workbook will be graded as Refer. You will then only have one further submission attempt to achieve a pass.
The answers to the ‘Your Turn’ or ‘Self Check’ questions shown within the workbook provide you with immediate feedback so that you can compare your answers with a general outline of an expected standard of answer.
Yes, you must complete the ‘Your Turn’ or ‘Self Check’ questions as these form part of the assessment for the workbook.
You are expected to answer the Consolidation questions using the knowledge that you have gained from reading the information relating to the subject area of the workbook.
The workbook is divided into three sections:
1. The first section details subject areas and ‘Your Turn’ or ‘Self Check’ questions, which act as a traditional lesson which would be delivered within a classroom situation.
2. The Consolidation questions act as an assessment, which gives you an opportunity to demonstrate, through your answers, your understanding and knowledge of the subject area.
3. The project section of the module gives you an opportunity to pull together all of the knowledge that you have gained by completing the workbook in one project.
When your workbook is returned to you, the tutor feedback will clearly show whether you have passed. You will receive a Pass, Credit or Distinction grade.
If further work is needed this will be indicated as a Refer grade. You will then have one further submission attempt to achieve a pass.
If you’re enrolled on further units, your next workbook will be sent out automatically. If you aren’t enrolled on further units and want to complete a new workbook please send in a new application form.
If your workbook is returned after your first submission, and you’ve received a Refer, you’ll be given 4 weeks to resubmit. Please be aware the maximum you can achieve on a resubmission is a Pass.
If you’re unsuccessful and do not achieve a Pass on your resubmission you will be awarded ‘Unclassified’. No further attempts are allowed and you’ll need to purchase the workbook again
Your certificate is printed by City and Guilds (C&G) following successful completion of your programme and the approval process.
Once the approval process is completed C&G will send the certificate to MOL who will then send it to your preferred address (as indicated on your application form). This process may take 4 - 8 weeks.
Each time you submit a workbook to be marked you’ll receive your grade and your tutor feedback will tell you where you’ve done well and the areas you may need to improve upon. You will keep this for reference and continued personal development.
MOL operates a no refund policy. Once your application form has been received and processed there is no refund available.
More information about MOL’s payment policies can be found on the VLE, under the Policies and Procedures tab.
Please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org giving details of your learner number and existing and new addresses. We can then update your records.
