The MA in Strategic Human Resource Management & Development is a unique way to stand out from your peers and underpin your strategic HR experience with a valuable qualification.

You will be able to do the Route A version of the Master's course if you have obtained your CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma within the past 4 years. Having already completed a Master's level qualification recently (CIPD L7), you will be able to complete your Master's in a short period of time with just the dissertation to complete. We will support you along the way with a formative assessment of your research proposal.

Time commitment: 3 face-to-face full day workshops and 3 virtual workshops

Assignments: A 15,000 word dissertation.

Course details

The main activity is the research dissertation and there is a substantial amount of independent study. The workshops allow you to test ideas with your peers and you will build up a network of support through the action learning approach as well as having tutor support.

Apart from research practice and skills, the content of your Master's is down to you. You can choose whatever area of strategic Human Resource Management or Development you wish to study and you therefore focus the content on an area that interests you, and will bring value to your role and your personal development.

Sheffield Hallam University partners MOL with the current Master's, bringing its expertise in HRM/D and business to the programme. You’ll gain an MA Professional Practice Strategic Human Resource Management and Development, accredited by Sheffield Hallam University.
