Hanieh makes the most of MOL experience
Thu 20 Nov 2025
It’s fair to say that Hanieh Hosseinpour has made the most of her CIPD Level 5 course in People Management.
Alongside achieving her Associate Diploma, Hanieh was also nominated for a prestigious CIPD People Management Award! She was shortlisted in the ‘Michael Kelly Outstanding Student – Associate’ category and had an “incredible experience” attending the awards evening in London.
We caught up with Hanieh after the event to talk about what it meant to her, and discuss her experience with MOL following the completion of her course.
Talk us through your nomination for the CIPD People Management Awards and your experience on the night.
Being shortlisted for the CIPD People Management Awards 2025 was an incredible experience. The process was both exciting and a bit nerve-wracking. After being shortlisted, I was invited to deliver a presentation to the judges and answer their questions. That part was actually my favourite, as I received fantastic feedback on my contribution to HR as a student.
The awards night itself was truly unforgettable. Hearing my name announced alongside leading global organisations was surreal and humbling. I felt proud to represent non-profit HR work and was so grateful to have my uncle there supporting me on such a special night.
Why did you choose to study with MOL?
I chose MOL because of the flexibility and affordability they offered. The structure allowed me to study at my own pace while balancing full-time work and other commitments, which was incredibly important for me.
Which course delivery method did you choose and what was the main benefit you got from it?
I chose the On Demand option. The main benefit was being able to study whenever it suited me. It removed the pressure of strict deadlines or attending live sessions, allowing me to progress at my own pace and maintain a healthy balance between work, study and personal life.
Were there any major challenges or obstacles faced during your studies, and how did you overcome them?
At first, I found it challenging to adapt to HR-specific resources since my academic background was in science and public health. I was more familiar with healthcare and medical journals. However, I overcame this by exploring the tutorials and guidance materials available on the MOL platform, which were extremely helpful in showing me how to navigate HR literature and resources effectively.
My personal tutor was always responsive and supportive whenever I had questions. Their feedback and guidance made a real difference in helping me stay on track and feel confident in my assignments.
Name one thing you’ve achieved with the CIPD Level 5 qualification.
One of the most valuable things I gained from this qualification is credibility. The course gave me the confidence to provide evidence-based HR advice that aligns with best practice and legal compliance. As a result, colleagues now see me as a trusted and knowledgeable professional whose guidance can be relied upon.Tell us about one project where you’ve been able to apply your new skills and knowledge.
A recent project where I applied my new skills was the creation of my professional social media platform, where I share workplace and career tips for jobseekers. I provide resources to help people understand their rights, what to expect in the workplace, and how HR can support them.
This idea came from friends, colleagues and former classmates often asking me for advice, and I wanted to make that knowledge accessible to everyone, especially those new to the country. It’s been rewarding to use my CIPD learning to offer practical, real-world guidance.
How has achieving this qualification improved your professional relationship with your colleagues?
It has strengthened my professional relationships significantly. My colleagues now view me as someone who brings both structure and evidence-based reasoning to HR discussions. I’ve become a go-to person for advice and problem-solving, and my recommendations are taken seriously because they are grounded in professional learning and practice.
How would you describe the value of this training to someone in a similar position?
This course is an excellent choice for anyone juggling multiple responsibilities. It offers flexibility without compromising quality. You can study at your own pace, enjoy the learning experience and still manage your work and personal commitments effectively.
Would you recommend MOL to a friend or colleague?
I would absolutely recommend MOL. The team is supportive, approachable and quick to respond to any queries. Even though I studied On Demand, I never felt isolated since everything I needed to succeed was provided through the platform. The resources, structure, and flexibility made the journey smooth and enjoyable.
