

Conveyancing Exemptions
If you're looking to begin studying conveyancing, you may not need to study as many units as you think!
Become qualified faster
If you've already achieved a relevant qualification, the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) and Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) offer full or partial exemption for one or more units.
This means that if you're eligible, you may not need to study as many units as you think and you can be come qualified faster and save on costs!
To claim exemption, you'll need to provide evidence of prior achievement e.g. a copy of the qualification certificate and transcript.

Exemptions
- Law Degree - If you hold a qualifying Law degree (BA with Law or GDL) obtained in England and Wales, exemptions may be likely to allow you progress to Level 6
- Incomplete Law Degree - If you have passed units within a Law degree but didn’t complete it, you may be eligible for partial exemption from Level 4
- CILEX - If you have a Level 3, Level 4 or Level 6 CILEX qualification, you may be eligible for some exemptions
- Cross Qualifying Licensed Paralegals - If you have a Level 3, Level 4 or Level 6 CILEX qualification, you may be eligible for some exemptions
- International Law Degree - If you hold an internationally recognised Law degree, you may be eligible to progress to Level 6
- Legal Practice Course (LPC) - If you hold a valid LPC, you may be eligible for an exemption from the Level 4 and may be eligible for partial exemption from some Level 6 units
- Dual and Cross Qualifying Professionals - If you have a Level 3, Level 4 or Level 6 CILEX qualification, you may be eligible for some exemptions
- Other Legal Qualifcations - If you have achieved other legal qualifications not already listed, you may be eligible for exemptions.
