Learner Stories: Charlotte | CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Diploma
Charlotte's CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Diploma was a pivotal step in her transition to a full-time human resources professional.
Charlotte Carew-Gibbs started her career as a French-speaking Media and Sales Representative. She later joined GP Bullhound as a Personal Assistant, which included some HR administrative responsibilities. Recognising a gap in the organisation for a dedicated HR function, Charlotte seized the opportunity to become a full-time HR professional.
Professional learning appeals to me because I can combine my studies with working full time, but the only way I can do both things successfully is by being self-disciplined and organised.
As part of her new role, Charlotte was given the option to study a relevant professional qualification. She chose the CIPD Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Human Resource Practice with MOL and later continued with the Level 5 Intermediate Diploma.
I’d reassure people that MOL make things as easy as possible and appreciate that everyone’s situation is different. It was challenging at times, but I had my employer's support and I planned ahead.
Charlotte found MOL's blended learning approach, combining online and classroom-based learning, to be particularly beneficial. She enjoyed the monthly workshops and learning from her peers.
