MOL Update – 24 February 2022 - Update for MOL learners

Now Government Covid 19 lockdown restrictions have been lifted, you may have some questions about our return to face-to-face workshops.
Our priority, as always, is to minimise any risk to our learners and our tutors and to keep everyone safe. 

We’re now preparing to resume some face to face delivery from April 2022. In the meantime we’ll continue to provide a great online learning experience and our examinations will all remain online.  

All MOL programmes across our locations will continue to run subject to demand and availability. This is to ensure you get a high quality learning experience. We allocate places on a first-come-first-served basis upon receipt of completed applications.

MOL Update – 16 Dec 2021 - Update for MOL learners

With the government announcement regarding new Covid-19 measures and concerns about the Omicron variant, you may have some questions about our return to face-to-face workshops or examinations.

Our priority, as always, is to minimise any risk to our learners and tutors and to keep everyone safe. We continue to take into account that our venues are located in busy city centres and often involve learners travelling on public transport. 

We’re ready to restart classroom learning when it’s safe to do so; in the meantime we’ll continue to provide a great online learning experience and our examinations will all remain online.

MOL Update – 24 August 2021 - Update for MOL learners

With the lifting of Government Covid 19 lockdown restrictions, you may have some questions about our return to face-to-face workshops or examinations.

Our priority, as always, is to minimise any risk to our learners and tutors and to keep everyone safe. Although we may be a step closer to meeting and learning together, we have to take into account that our venues are located in busy city centres and often involve learners travelling on public transport.

We’re ready to restart classroom learning when it’s safe to do so; however, we’ve decided that this will not be before January next year. We’ll continue to provide a great online learning experience and our examinations will all remain online. 

We’ll continue to keep our position under review and to keep you updated.

MOL Update – 2 August 2021 - Update for MOL learners

With the lifting of Government Covid 19 lockdown restrictions, we want to update you on our position concerning a return to face-to-face workshops or examinations.

Although we may be a step closer to restarting face-to-face workshops, we’re monitoring the current situation to confirm if and when we can safely resume meeting and learning with others. Our priority is always to keep everyone safe so we’re continuing to closely follow Government guidance.  

We’re ready to start classroom learning when it’s safe to do so; however, this will not be before autumn. Our examinations also remain online. We’re mindful the government has warned outbreaks of any Covid 19 variant could potentially mean the reintroduction of lockdown measures. 

For now, we’ll continue to provide exclusively online study and examinations but will continue to keep our position under review. We’ll contact you with more information as soon as we’re able.

MOL Update – 17 May 2021 - Update for MOL learners

With today’s Government update on the lifting of some Covid 19 lockdown restrictions; we want to confirm our position concerning a return to face-to-face workshops or examinations.

Our first priority is always to keep everyone safe and we’re continuing to closely follow Government guidance.  Although we may be a step closer to restarting face to face workshops, advice remains that people should limit non-essential travel. We’re waiting for the Government update in June to confirm if the vaccination roll-out will enable us to safely resume meeting and learning with others. 

We’re ready to start classroom learning when it’s safe to do so; however this will not be before 21 June and we’re mindful the government has warned outbreaks of the India variant could disrupt further lockdown easing. 

For now we’ll continue to provide exclusively online study but we’ll review our position with each Government announcement on the further lifting of lockdown restrictions. We’ll contact you with more information as soon as we’re able.  

Please note our examinations remain online.

With the recent Government updates on Covid 19 lockdown restrictions; we want to confirm our current position concerning a return to face-to-face workshops or examinations.

Our first priority is always to keep our learners and tutors safe and we’re continuing to closely follow Government guidance.  Advice remains that you should not travel where not essential, which includes face to face workshops.  We’re waiting for further Government updates to confirm the current peak has subsided and/or the vaccination roll-out enables us to safely resume meeting and learning with others. We’re ready to start classroom learning when it’s safe to do so..

For now we’ll continue to provide exclusively online study but we’ll review our position with each Government announcement on the lifting of the current lockdown restrictions. We’ll contact you with an update as soon as we’re able to.

We want to keep all our learners updated on our current position concerning a return to face-to-face workshops or examinations.

We’re continuing to follow Government guidance with the aim of keeping everyone safe. Current advice is that you should not travel to face to face workshops or exams.  We’re ready to start up again when it’s safe to do so; this will not be until the current peak has subsided or the vaccination roll-out enables us to safely offer more face to face learning. 

Although we’ll continue to review our position with every Government announcement, we plan to continue to provide exclusively online study and examinations. We’ll contact you with an update as soon as we’re able to.

MOL Update – 14 September 2020 - Update for MOL learners

We want to keep all our learners updated on our current position on returning to face-to-face workshops or examinations.

As Government guidance develops, and the need for social distancing remains, we’re unable to secure regular and consistent access to our classroom or exam venues. We also believe it’s currently in the best interest of our learners to focus our attention online rather than ask you to travel to a workshop or exam. 

Although we’ll continue to review our position with every Government announcement, we plan to provide exclusively online study and examinations until early 2021. We’ll keep everyone up to date with any changes as the future becomes clearer.

MOL Update - 23 July 2020 - Update for MOL learners regarding face-to-face study

As Government guidance develops we wanted to keep all our learners updated on our current position in regards to a return to face-to-face study.

While the need for social distancing remains in place we are unable to secure regular and consistent access to our venues. Furthermore, we do not feel that it is currently in the best interest of our learners to ask them travel to a venue.  

We will continue to review our position with every Government announcement and it is our current belief that we will be providing exclusively online study until the end of the year. We will keep all our learners informed of any changes as the future becomes clearer.

MOL Update - 06 May 2020 - Important information for MOL CIPD learners 

We're committed to supporting you during the Covid 19 pandemic and in April activated our contingency plan of converting all our classroom sessions to virtual delivery. Social distancing may be with us for some time yet, so to keep you and our tutors safe, we plan to continue with virtual delivery for your next module. 

To ensure you have a great experience we’ve made some improvements to your programme. The webinars replacing your workshop will now take place once a week (rather than in the same week) and your webinar experience will now link more closely with the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) study tasks. The MOL Classroom Choice Virtual Sessions mirror the workshop content and we’re confident your experience will meet our usual high standard. You can still interact with your group and tutor online, ask questions in your virtual classroom and share the learning experience with your peers, just as you would in a workshop.  

You’ll receive full details of your webinar dates and times in the confirmation email for your next module.

MOL Update - 28 April 2020 - SQA May Exam cancellation

We’re unable to provide the May SQA examinations due to Covid 19 Government restrictions on social distancing so we’re working to explore alternative options for managing our examination provision. 

We’re planning our next SQA examinations for September. However, our ability to run these examinations will depend on the restrictions related to the Covid 19 health crisis and guidance from the Government.   

If you’re already registered for the May 2020 examination you’ll receive a separate notification letting you know what to do next. 

If you’re not yet registered for any SQA examinations please continue to check the VLE for updates on registration dates. 

Don’t worry, we’ll maintain your access to the VLE so you can continue to study during this period.

MOL Update - 26 March 2020

We’re open and our MOL teams are working remotely to continue supporting you with your studies.  We still plan to deliver a great learner experience and are here to offer you all the help and support you need during this period of uncertainty.

In response to Government advice, we discontinued our face to face workshop sessions and converted all our learning content to Live Online for MOL courses. We’re running regular interactive webinars plus on demand access to webinar recordings, online activities, articles, journals, podcasts case studies and video clips.

Learners who were studying via workshop delivery have been contacted and invited to specific webinar sessions, covering classroom content, to make sure any disruption is kept to a minimum. This way, when we get the okay to start face to face delivery again, we can continue as planned.

Important information for CPL (Conveyancing & Probate) learners - updated 23 March 2020

You’ll be aware that we all need to be mindful of public health with regards to Covid-19 and MOL is following all Government guidelines. Unfortunately, this means that we’ll not be able to offer you SQA Conveyancing and Probate exams as usual in May.

We’re exploring all options and are in discussions with SQA (the Awarding Body) for guidance on exam paper security and invigilation. Please rest assured we’re working closely with SQA to see how we can best deliver the exams and we’ll update you as soon as we have established plans.  

In the meantime, please continue with your studies as usual.

We’ll be in touch with any further developments as soon as we’re able.

Important information for MOL CIPD learners - updated 17 March 2020

In response to the Prime Minister’s advice, on Monday evening (16 March 2020), we’ve been notified of the closures of our delivery venues for face to face learning. These closures will be for an indefinite period and we’ve activated our contingency plan of converting all our delivery to Live Online for all our MOL courses.

We’ll remain open and our team are here to support you in your studies. We’ve been mapping and planning extra support to enable this. We still want you to have a great learner experience so if you’re studying Live Online at the moment please be assured we’re not going to drop hundreds of learners into your group.  We’ll set up and deliver multiple groups so we’re able to offer you the support you need.

Due to the current Covid-19 advice, we’ve been planning to move our face to face workshops online and the necessary steps and technology are almost in place. If you’re studying via workshop delivery we’ll be in touch with you via the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to invite you to specific webinar sessions, covering classroom content, to make sure any disruption for you is kept to a minimum. This way, when we get the okay to start face to face delivery again, we can continue as planned.

The MOL Live Online course mirrors the workshop content we normally provide - we’ll do everything we can to make sure the experience meets our usual high standard. You’ll be able to interact with a tutor online, ask questions in your virtual classroom and share the learning experience with your peers, just as you would in a workshop. We’re contingency planning for the next three months' delivery to be delivered Live Online, if necessary, with the aim of resuming workshops as soon as possible.

Important information for Property Law, Property Agency and APM learners

With regards to the above notice of delivery venue closures for face to face learning, our Conveyancing & Probate, Property Agency and APM (Project Management) programmes are unaffected by these workshop cancellations and your learning will not be interrupted.
