We’re celebrating our 40th anniversary!
Tue 18 Jun 2024
In 1984, Prince’s Purple Rain was topping the charts and Torvill & Dean were winning Olympic gold in Sarajevo. Meanwhile, in Manchester, there was another notable event – the birth of MOL!
Back then we were known as Manchester Open Learning, delivering management qualifications. Since then, more than 60,000 learners have achieved their professional qualifications with us and we’ve supported more than 20,000 businesses.
Now, we truly are a global business, teaching learners in at least 30 different countries across the world with our innovative, flexible and supportive delivery methods.
As well as gaining Feefo Platinum Trusted Service status, we’ve also been recognised as a ‘Leading Provider of HR Learning and Development’, at the Global Business Awards by Corporate Vision.
Throughout June, we’ve been celebrating our 40th anniversary with colleagues, learners, employers and partners. If you haven’t already, check out the content on our social media channels and keep an eye out for more to come:
Later this month, we’re teaming up with the Learning & Work Institute for an article that will reflect on findings from their Adult Participation in Learning survey, revealing how the way people learn has changed over the last few decades.
Furthermore, to celebrate our special landmark, we’re offering 20% off selected CIPD and Conveyancing courses throughout June and July. Enrol on one of these courses in that time and you’ll also have the chance to win your next course for free!
Finally, in November, we’ll be hosting an event at CIPD ACE in Manchester to round-off our celebrations.
All in all, it’s an exciting time for MOL and we’d like to thank our colleagues, learners, employers and partners for playing your part in our success. Here’s to the next 40 years of innovation in learning!
