MOL shortlisted for Learning Excellence Award
Mon 23 Dec 2024
MOL has been shortlisted for a Learning Excellence Award for our groundbreaking Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
We’ve been recognised in the 'Learning Management Systems and Learning Process' category. The news comes after our VLE was also celebrated at the Learning Technologies Awards in November, receiving Bronze in the ‘Best Online Distance Learning Programme’ category for our On Demand and Live Online CIPD courses.
Integrating four different modes of deliver, from on demand content to physical classroom sessions, the design of our VLE was informed by extensive research, including surveys with over 5,000 learners and consultations with industry experts. Its innovative features include adaptive learning paths, AI avatars, and interactive simulations.
The response from learners and other key stakeholders to our VLE has been overwhelmingly positive. Learners particularly appreciate the interactive elements, personalised learning paths, and practical applications of knowledge. Our continuous learner feedback mechanism ensures that the VLE evolves based on learner needs, keeping content and engagement methods up-to-date.
Responding to the news, Product Director Paul Rogers said: "I’m delighted that our Virtual Learning Environment has received further recognition. It’s a fitting testament to our team’s innovation, hard work and dedication to providing an industry-leading learning platform.
The VLE has enhanced learner satisfaction, increased pass rates and expanded our global reach, and we remain committed to integrating innovation and technology into our learning platform.
The Learning Excellence Awards are business awards for the business training and learning & development sector, with the winners to be announced at a ceremony in London on Tuesday 22 April 2025. Other finalists at the awards include BMW, Lloyds Banking Group and Warner Music Group.
