"Studying with MOL has really benefited me in my job" - read Sally England-Kerr's story here
Sally English-Kerr's business is evolving after she passed the Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management course with MOL.
Englands Harborne Ltd decided to move from sales into letting. Director Sally wanted to learn about lettings and understand the legislation and compliance side of the industry, both of which have changed significantly in recent years.
She also wanted to become a member of a professional body, and the Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management qualification is a route to the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).
Sally picked the 40-day option because she felt the tight deadline was a motivational factor, and she also wanted to achieve the qualification quickly due to the rapid nature of the company’s expansion plans.
She fitted the studying into her working day by blocking out the training time with her tutor and shutting herself away so she wasn’t disturbed. Sally also studied privately in her spare time, and managed to fit in her academic commitments by breaking down the material into more manageable sections.
Sally found the virtual learning environment useful, particularly the mind maps, flash cards and mock multiple choice exams.
She said: “I really enjoyed the sessions with my MOL tutor Di, as they were driven by me and personalised for my needs. I had control over what we studied together. It was flexible, rather than ‘one size fits all’ training.
“Gaining this qualification has given me the desire and confidence to move on to the next level and study for the Technical Award in the Sale of Residential Property."
Without any hesitation, I would say studying with MOL has benefited me in my job. The programme was run efficiently and MOL provided good customer care whenever I had a query.
