Meet the tutor: Paul Jager

Estate agent, property professional, businessman, teacher, author and baseball fan.

Paul has been part of the MOL team for 15 years, and has been working in the property industry for almost 35 years. It is this experience and knowledge that helps our learners achieve their goals.

To quote Paul, what he enjoys the most about teaching property is “interacting with learners and being able to share with them what I have learned over three decades”. And, you can certainly learn a lot from Paul. 

Paul began his career as a junior negotiator in a family-run estate agents in 1985. Just two and a half years later, Paul and his business partner started their own NW London-based estate agency which went from strength to strength to become one of the leading agencies in their area.   

Ambitious to experience other areas of the property profession, and with a long-held aspiration to teach, Paul sold the company in 2002. He went into property education as a property trainer and apprenticeship assessor, before joining MOL.

But it’s not just his knowledge and experience that our learners benefit from. As a person he’s charismatic and the kind of person that instils the confidence that he will get things done. He’s the kind of man who can hold the attention of a room of 100 people or a group of three. And as a teacher he brings the theory to life and takes his learners on the journey with him.

Paul certainly keeps himself busy. Alongside teaching and heading up MOL’s Property Agency and Property Law division, Paul is a published author (his chosen subjects, as expected, being buying and selling property).  

Like his learners Paul has to work hard to effectively balance his work/life. With this in mind, his advice to learners with a similar challenge is simple, “Don’t study hard; study effectively”. 

And in his downtime? Paul is a parish councillor and enjoys watching baseball (especially the Pittsburgh Pirates - “Go Bucs!”). An all-round multifaceted individual.
